The Word for Bird or for Fowl or for Bird
The phrase that i want to bring us to in this text is verse seven, i lie awake. I have become like a bird alone on a roof. Have you ever been in a moment like that? The word used here could be the word for birl bird or for fowl. Or for sparrow. Some commentators would say we need to use the word translated to bird and not to sparrow. But others say, sparrow is a good word for this text because maybe in this case, like what the psalmist was feeling, the sparrow is isolated and alone.
