The Federal Government's Decision to Regulate AI

The European Union looks like it's going to levy an enormous fine on Facebook. Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, has banned a central bank digital currency in his state. There does seem to be this general consensus among both the AI crowd in Silicon Valley and Congress that AI should be regulated somehow.
