Liquid thorazine was introduced in the 1960s as a response to the pervasive problem of patients' cheeking pills. Dr. Rosnahan indicated that there were two cases, though, where the medicine ended up being swallowed. One case involved a patient with enough psychotic symptoms for doctors to prescribe him daily doses of thorazine.
