Australia's Relationship With the Royal Family

I can't imagine being as loyal or passionate about the prime minister of Great Britain, you know, giving a shit. But I have no real problem with the royal family as an institution. It is complete anomaly now that Australia is 121 years old and yet we still have effectively the monarch of another country as our head of state. As a constitutional democracy, it's a huge anomaly and hence the Republican movement.
