The athenians are surrounded by a fleet of lysander ships. They have to figure out something, because people are starting to get very hungry. Lysander settles in for a long and difficult siege. But soon he receives into his camp at samos a visit from a prominent athenian politician. Theramenes made it clear that he was here again to try to save athens.
