The Mystery of Cheryl Spiegel's Death

Cheryl Spiegel went missing on the morning of her 10th birthday in 1971. Her body was found two weeks later after a milk delivery driver noticed an odd formation of rocks near to where she had been abducted. The child-sized arm was visible in one of the small crevices and police were unable to identify it as Cheryl's. A man who lived across the street from the Spiegel House would sometimes sit on his porch or in his car and watch the children. In the years following Cheryl's murder, his concerning behavior continued to make his neighbors uncomfortable even if he was eventually cleared of suspicion.
