The Decline of Democracy and Capitalism

Democracy was looked down on by the Greeks and the Romans for a good reason, it tends to degenerate into mob rule. So democracy has always had to include limits that the founding fathers put into it. The same thing is true for capitalism. And so capitalism also needs to be regulated, limited and refined in certain ways. But we let all of that stuff slide away from our vision because this triumphalist yeah, America one, it's the greatest democracy and capitalism. Just let it go, it'll be fine.
