Laplace's View of the Universe

Laplace's view of the universe was developed in 1814, a century before quantum physics would set in. He believed that from the initial conditions and the laws of physics, everything that follows is strictly set in stone. And there's really no room for anything that I would personally call freedom. But choice is free only if the agent's choice or the weight they assign to their reasons is up to them.
