Spirit Boy is a combination of Hand of God and Goal of the Century. I wrote this part in Melbourne in 2019, remember how hot I was struggling with lyrics? Jung's best friend Matt Colmy-Innavic who we grew up with in church also played on it. There are some Cook Island drummers that we recorded whilst they were in New Zealand as well. They've been passing down their rhythms for like thousands of years in that family. You could both the sample and the Cook Island drumming sound scared all over again. It has the character of something you know, that's remnissing of that part of the world,. So there's nothing too hip about its groove
