The Importance of Working Year Round

Even if you're just doing one race a year, you're definitely not doing this to make a full time income unless you have one really giant race and you're going to walk away with an income that's your full time pay. But even then, if it's that big of a race, then yes, you the race director working year round because you've got a lot of runners to plan for. So there are instances where I'd say you're not working on it year round, but a business model like mine, we are trying to build a series of races or have a really large race.
