Republican Senator Tommy Tupperville Tries to Clarify Comments He Made About White Nationalists
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling on Republican Senator Tommy Tupperville to apologize for comments he made about white nationalists. He first refused to condemn white nationalism during a radio interview in May, voicing his opposition to Democrats' efforts to keep extremists out of the military. When asked to clarify those remarks last night, Sen. Tupperville said: "I'm totally against racism"
