thernos and its tests did not have to get fda clearance in order to be marketed and sold. They fell under this category called lab developed test. Some people call it a loophole in kind of the medical testing oversight world. People are sort of saying, oh, like, we actually need better tests.
A tech startup said it could start a medical revolution with a little machine and a drop of blood. It was a fraud, but research into smarter, less invasive blood testing is a reality.
