i'm always convinced studios don't cut to the close up. Treat the audience like they're smarter, right? Some of the best moments are peter sellers next to stirling hayden and in a two shot. Let the audience find the punch line to the joke by you staying in the two shot. i think jean hackman's name came up, and i thought, jean Hackman, dusten hofman, alpetina, robet a, nero nicholson, none of their movies could make it into a theatre nowadays.
