Early skate boards were as simple as it gets. Basically just a piece of wood with broken apart roller skate wheels nailed on to both ends. After the war, thenineteen fifties, home made skateboards were getting so popular that companies took notice. And by the early sixties, you could buy a skateboard in a store.
