The Incomplete Statement in Lacan's Seminar 16
Lacan: "Once any signifier whatsoever in the chain can be put into relation with what is nevertheless only an object, namely what is fabricated in this relationship to surplus and joining" Lacan's first session of seminar 16 took place on page 12. He was introducing a notion of surplus enjoyment as part of his work. But for now it's just kind of like an incomplete sentence. This is not all entirely off. If you go back and consult the French, maybe this is just lecon sounding a little bit off.
