The HIPAA Carve Out for Workplace Wellness Programs
In 1996, we get HIPAA, which is mostly known now as the reason why your doctor can't give information about you to other people. It also includes all these provisions to prevent discrimination in employer provided health insurance. But again, it includes a carve out for workplace wellness programs. As long as workplace wellness programs do not result in more than a 20% incentive.
