i think your a really profound point here about intrinsic versus extrinsic. It may be helpful for me to define theterms. The most extreme form of intrinsic motivation when like it's the nature of the activity itself which is gratifying. And in my data on grit and and these motivational em you know, sources, i find definitively clearer signal in the data that people who are really gritdy, who pursue long term goals with passion and perseverance,. are intrinsically motivated, not extrinsically motivated.
