Y Combinator was founded in 2007 by Sam Harris, Paul Graham and Nate Silver. The company is now known as a startup accelerator for young entrepreneurs. In 2008, the founders launched their website at South by Southwest. They say they were surprised to get so much attention from people who had never heard of them before.
