A huge amount of what we think of as forgiveness really is just forgetting right? The internet just won't let that happen. It also dnarrativizes everything, every moment in time is notionally at least the same number of clicks away. So it really does volatilize a lot of our sense of how people exist over time,. and the sort of allowance we have to make for that. If you've got a right to be forgotten, that entails a corresponding duty to forget. But you can't forget voluntarily. There's no opportunity for healing, if healing is required.
