Several of the milestones were first achieved by chat GPT, which came out just three months after the survey ended. Experts' prediction for how long it would take an AI to achieve these milestones was about the same as they gave any other hard problem. There was a truly abysmal correlation between the tasks experts thought would be solved fastest and the ones that actually got solved. The task experts thought would fall soonest was once again Angry Birds.
