Have We Internalized Those Lessons?
I think if I was there in the moment, you know, it was perfectly natural for them to think the way they did. Ambedkar of course was right about society then and what he said then holds true today. What we see in modern times is like I often say it in Narendra Modi: He thinks in a top-down way just like Nehru did. So, it's almost as if we sort of learned nothing from the past. We had this glorious golden moment between 91 and 2011 which lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. But have we internalized those lessons?
Society cannot be designed in a top-down way. Central planning was a historic blunder that harmed India -- even though it was conceived by great men with good intentions.
