The Dangers of Mucus

In 1861, a new burial tax was levied as a feed to the cemeteries for keeping the bodies of their loved ones inside. The corpses were unearthed and put into dry soil in which they would effectively become mummified. It's possible that during the time they were placed in glass cases, some body parts came in contact with mungal spores. They said that there are no documented cases of fungal infections from these mummies specifically.
