What Happens if the Republicans Don't Take the House?

There's a little complacency going on, particularly among people who don't want tax increases. The Democrats would turn around if they had two extra votes and the filibuster so that with a simple majority, they could do anything. And of course, at the state level, you've got 30 states with a Republican house in Senate. Most states are Republican. They want to stop the states from having a real autonomy, run everything out of D.C.
