Timothy Egan's new book, A Heartland in the Heartland by Timothy Egan is out now. The Ku Klux Klan plot to take over America and the Woman Who Stopped them has been described as 'dark' but there are also reasons for hope. He says Madge was just a woman of her age who thought she could control this guy - it didn't turn out well for her. But she had the guts after this awful thing happened to her to say, I'm going to bring that guy down.
