The Fear of the Lord Is the Beginning of Wisdom
Peter reminds us that we are calling on God as father, but then he says a strange thing. In Proverbs there is this big theme that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. My daughter Eliza said, why would we fear God? He is such a great guy. I explained to her that actually fearing the Lord is profoundly liberating because it means we don't have to fear anybody else.
