The flatwoods monster has been featured in a couple of video games. In the fall out 76 game, you can usually find one at abbey's bunker and near southampton estate. The melonheads are native to ohio, michigan and connecticut. They occupy wooded areas around the wooded area specifically called wisner or wisner an insane asylum that used to be known as junction Junction.
