The Hardest Thing About Teaching at the University of Chicago
When I was in law school I would say no. I basically took the courses that interested me and it's still a piece of wisdom I try to pass on to students today. My first pieces were on professional responsibility and how to think about incentives for prosecutors so I suppose related a bit to the criminal justice system but not what I'm doing now. That was again something I fell into out of conversations with another mentor William Julius Wilson who was teaching at Chicago at the time.
