Saul's Disobedience to God's Election

God withdrew his promise of dynastic succession from Eli and gave it to another back in chapter 2. So will he do with Saul here in chapter 13? The house of Saul will not be able to appeal to God's election as unconditional. For God's experience, or excuse me, for Eli's experience has demonstrated that disobedience can result in forfeiture of divine promise.
