The Importance of Black Fashion
Elaine Nichols is head curator of the National Museum of African-American History and Culture. She says there's always a tension between calling something black fashion or just fashion, right? But I think it is important to say black fashion. Just that phrase is very important, historically. It matters to give light to the idea that black people in fashion have always been here.
