Introduction

Nigel Godridge has endorsed Soyuz microphones in this regard. I put the 017 tube up against my best tube U47, which is my all-time favourite mic. Yup, after using this 017 and trying it out on various instruments, I was sold. And I'm now going to be using this microphone for all the podcast voiceovers and for a bunch of other applications. Here's just me singing freestyle into the mic just in the middle of my room. Radiohead fans will no doubt recognise that one.
