Team spoke with mayor janes jackson in november, admitting willy was dead. She said the hope of town officials had been to find a new ground hog in time for last year's festival and pretend like nothing had happened at all. The search continued this past summer, high and low, they looked for an albino ground hog, only to come up empty. Team: "We were hoping to just quietly find another elbino ande and just kind of make that transition"
