Engaging People in a User Research Process

I think about engaging people in my process in almost three phases. The first part is being a part of their processes, and that's why I ask those questionsAbout the rituals that they have, the processes that they have. And then finally asking your stakeholder how they best learn or digest research. This helps me understand what ideas they might have, what questions they might have,. What fears they have about conducting user research. It also helps me understanding what research would be most important for them. So how could I help them? Because that's what we're there for as user researchers is to help support others.
