Sally Kohn: How do you see the idea of identity and feminism in film theory? She says there is this notion that one can identify with what's on the screen. Kohn: I don't because I don't believe in stable identities, it's also impossible for me to believe in something like identifying some sort of a straightforward identification with a character in a movie or a television series. The male gaze is all about the objectification of the female form on the on the screen," she said. "I think that we all kind of we all reject that position"
