'Kate's Death' - An Example of a Baby in Reciprocatory Distress
Riannan davis' daughter, kate, died just a few years after she was being born. There were clear indications that all was not well. I was simply told that i had a lazy baby, and my concerns were dismissed. She began making a murmuring noise, which the midwife dismissed as her trying to cry but actually is a clear sign of a baby in recipiratory distress. During my labour, there were three distinct heart decelerations, a fokete and any one of which should have been an immediate red flag to send me straight to the consultant lead unit.
