The Late Americans by Brandon Taylor

The late Americans by Brandon Taylor is a collection of vignettes about queer artists living in Iowa. The first chapter focuses on a queer white male poet named Sheamus who feels out of place in his MFA writing program because he isn't overtly marginalized and gets antagonized for it. And then the novel shifts focus onto a queer multiracial couple named Fyodor and Timo that has to confront the financial and ethical divides in their relationship.
