Can one ask for or seek compensation from data fiduciaries? Is that possible at all under the law? It does not have a specific compensation provision. So when the financial penalty is levied, who does the money go to? Go to the government. Not to the aggrieved party. And let's also sort of note that it's not as alternative to this you can go to the civil court.
