Rupert Murdoch's newspapers were never really the profit engines, right? You know, as you write, it was really his other businesses that subsidized his beloved newspapers. Then a couple of years ago, he sold to date, but murlac still owns many influential papers like wall street journal and in the new york post. These days, the real profit engine is fox news. Of huge influence, and probably the most liked and most hated of them all in n equal measure.

Two senior Democratic lawmakers have warned the Federal Reserve that it would be a “grave error” to extend looser capital requirements for US banks. ExxonMobil appointed two new board directors on Monday to placate activist shareholders and the former French president Nicolas Sarkozy was sentenced to three years in prison on Monday.
