Some of these units are absolutely decimated that day. What happens to them? They're rebuilt the history of the 29th division for example claim that they had three divisions there was one in the field by the end of the war and they lost 20 000 620 guys by wars then which means the division stays up to strength but it's been constantly being reinforced by new manpower. The first division that landed alongside D-Day had 20 659 casualties between D-Day and the end of World War II. So at theend of the war there would have been very very few left from D-Day with post-traumatic stress disorder so any that was still there were probably irreversibly psychologically affected
