The Importance of Kitless Environments

There's only so much I can carry just by the fact I'm a mountain leader. That was something I found there, which was kitless. It becomes more important to them to have this item of kit rather than adapting and thinking of a way around not having that item of kit. If you're a rock climber, you need a harness and a rope and all this stuff. You can't get away with that, with not having that. But if you're an outdoor enthusiast or whatever, just watch the people who go up and down the track walking their dogs - they still achieve the same thing. They've gone for a walk with the dog. It's made no difference.
