Rishi suna has raised taxes by a lot more than he's now saying he's going to put back in your wallet. The rises are huge, compared to the tax cutswih wich seem much more and this is the contradiction. But actually, rishy sona chose to put thatx cash towards burnishing his own credentials as being a tax cutter. There's the other consideration though, that the chancellor and the treasury have sort ove been taking a weight and sea approach on some of this stuff because the outlook is so uncertain.
