Ricardo: By buying the points and booking it that way, you've just given yourself all of this free flexibility. But if you have a companion attached to your flight, you can't do it quite so easily. You would have to cancel your flight if you did it on line,. And i don't recommend doing that cause you could potentially lose them there with your companion.
