Is Everyone Wanting Status and Power?
One argument that i find sometimes is the idea that we all want status and power deep down. And so does everybody want power like there are very clear examples of situations in contexts where that is not case. That's probably coming from like the positionality of the scientists that are doing the work. I think an idea like that can happen in the context of a really aacademic discipline, right? Wherein the people who study power come from a certain subset of societ structures and families and the like. Because there are a lot of alternative ways to invision power right? Like communal ways toinvision power, collaborative ways, collective power.
