Introduction

Todd Hamons: It was a time of discontent in the Holy Land during Jesus' day as we enter into the last week of his life. The Jewish people were anxious for a change because the promised land was occupied by foreign oppressors and the Jewish people were forced to live under the hand of the Romans. Despite looking around and thinking we the Jewish people, but we can't fight the Romans, there is a hope that it passed from one generation to the next, a whisper of strength from the oppressed.
