daylight savings time is probably the largest global sleep experiment that happens. It's performed essentially on 1.6 billion people across about 70 countries twice a year. In the spring, when we lose an hour of sleep, there is a subsequent 24% increase in heart attacks. But in the autumn, in the fall, when we gain an hour ofsleep, there's a 21% reduction in heart attacks as a result. So I think that that's how vulnerable our bodies are to even just one hour of lost sleep across one single night,. let alone several hours of lost sleep over weeks, months and years.
