What's the Scariest Thing About Roy Moore?

The scariest thing is that by the standards of many prominent southern Christian nationalists, Roy Moore is a moderate. Gay and trans folks are already scapegoated anytime something terrible happens anywhere in this country. If the nation itself was thrown into violent turmoil, is it such a stretch to imagine fundamentalists deciding God wants them to punish such sinners?
