She spoke about a long, long process of purification and it seems to me that must be really fertile territory for dance. Just look at the pressure that she creates on a page where the line sits in a really unusual place precariously balanced against another form. It opens up these spaces of perception where you can actually then start to feel something inside so meaning emerges from it.
