What's the Difference Between Meditation and Christianity?

i think that the interest in meditation is primarily in what are usually called, i guess, eastern forms of meditation. They were brought here a by ano harvard professors and the like in the sixties. What distinguishes this understanding of meditation from the christian understanding of meditation? We all have the same human nature with its faculties: intellect which can rest in possession of truth or seek it out among various goods proposed.
