The Importance of Letting Go
This may be the first time he's needing to share these kinds of feelings because he hasn't been in this situation before. So when he says he doesn't want to go or he only wants to go to school if she's there, wow, yeah, it's hard to think about leaving us and being with these other people that right now you don't even know. Just letting all of that be relaxed, welcoming, even wanting to hear everything that's going on with your little guy is a big step forward.
