The state of washington introduced brian besett's statement that he made to police that he and mcdonald had tried to kill his parents twice before the actual crimes took place. Those attempts were foiled for one reason or another i'm wondering if he simply wasn't able to gain access to the house in those instances. The consequences got much more strict and severe in the 90s at the same time this is 1995 when this case that we're talking about takes place now at trial.
