Is There a Divine Right to Work on What You Love?
The problem is more when people who like something feel that they're effectively the mug playing the game if they do s o the thing they love. There's now a default that is so wildly remunerative relative to the historic norm, it almost becomes like it takes a i really admire, i ave friends who are in this sort of a space of tring to reinvent science and building new institutions to do that. And one of the things i most admire is, to be clear, they're not living on poverty wages. O they asto delike, they're making a calculate decision to forego, like, huge amounts of money in order to do it.
